The Construction of Sable

Aymane Errachidia is born 1996 in Laayoune, Westsahara. The artist studied fine arts at the Institut National des Beaux Arts at Tétouan and finished with diplom as best of his year. Actually he studies documentary film at the faculty Abdelmalek Essaadi in Martil. Aymane Errachidia is multidisciplinayry working between installation, sculpture, dessin, painting and video. Fascinated by the arrid landscae of his home and especially by the lucide and various structure of sand, he exlores the structure of sand in different medias. In the centre of his art, which overcomes the frontiers of conceptual art, you find the reflexion of the Sahahourian life, a sensibility for the desert and the sand, and at least, a connexion between traditional and modern life. Errachidia lives and works in Tétouan and Laayoune.
